On July 28th, 2007 J.P.
Pocock and I, John Saylor, teamed up to put on a 1 day seminar at The Barn
of Truth Dojo here in Perrysville, Ohio. We entitled it How To Create
Champion Grapplers (or Become One Yourself), and in the 4 hours we had
available we attempted to give coaches and competitors as much information as
we possibly could. Each participant received a 14 page outline with 70 photos
depicting the various techniques, positions and drills so that they could
remember the information when they got back to their club.
Although we taught a few new skills, the seminar
was not primarily a technique clinic, but rather a seminar on how to
systematically train champion grapplers. Coaches and competitors came away with
a firm grasp of Shingitai's 3 Steps To Ground-Fighting Mastery, which
sounds simple enough, but trust me, it's not easy! But those that use this method
will save years of wasted time and effort on less effective training, and will
have fewer injuries along the way as they streamline their way to the top.
Not only did the coaches and competitors go home
armed with tons of new training information, but they also got to meet many new
friends and had a great time at the cookout afterwards in the beautiful rural
setting bordering the Mohican Forest.
Our purpose at all Shingitai seminars and camps
is to teach the best skills, training methods, and attitude to help you achieve
your ultimate potential.
I hope you can join us at our next camp so that
we can help you take your game to the next level!

P.S. If you weren't able to attend this ground-breaking
seminar all is not lost because we filmed much of it and will soon make a 2 DVD
set available. It will be called, How To Create Champion Grapplers (or
Become One Yourself) and will cover the main points of the seminar.
